Google has officially announced a new branch within the company called Google Ventures. The Google Ventures branch was started to invest in new start-ups. Google has always been very active in spending time towards new innovation.

Google has a policy where they allow all employees to spend 20% of their time in thinking and developing new things. They are very aware that technology continues to advance every second and in order for them to continue to stay ahead of the competition they need to constantly investing time, energy, and money in new start-ups.

“At its core, Google Ventures is charged with finding and helping to develop exceptional start-ups. We’ll be focusing on early stage investments across a diverse range of industries, including consumer Internet, software, clean-tech, bio-tech, health care and, no doubt, other areas we haven’t thought of yet. Central to our effort will be our fellow Googlers, whom we view as a critically important resource to help educate us about potential investments areas and evaluate specific companies.”

Google Ventures will help Google to find new and upcoming companies that are being started by entreprenuers who can think of and start amazing opportunities. Google has the money to help start-up companies and will even work with those who are not a potential Google acquisition.
