Time for hayrides, apple cider, and pumpkin carving.

I just had the opportunity to drop by Burgess Orchards in Alpine with some friends to grab a bag of apples and a gallon of fresh cider pressed by their hydraulic cider press. As I was enjoying a glassful of the cider at home, it hit me. Fall is in full swing.

Yes, we’re on our way to a chilly winter, but luckily we can put that fact aside for a moment and enjoy the autumn colors and fall activities.

If you’re really looking to get out with friends and family to do so, go enjoy one of the great pumpkin patches that Utah has to offer (here’s a good list for farms in your county).

If that’s a little too tame for your liking, head over to a haunt to see if you can make it through without jumping. Here’s a site for the haunted spots. You shouldn’t even consider bringing children to a lot of these (hopefully I don’t have to tell you that).

Now get out there and enjoy what William Bryan once called “the year’s last, loveliest smile”!
