Have you seen ads for LG’s new Lifeband Touch? It’s pretty awesome. You use it to control your music, to be notified of calls and texts, and to measure the amount of exercise you have done. Why is this such a big deal? Well, let’s look at some of the implications that are hinted at in their latest “trailer”.

The whole idea behind this ad is that the Lifeband Touch can make fitness possible for even the busiest of businessmen. It gives you the power to turn your daily activities, at work or elsewhere, into part of your workout, giving you the motivation to take the stairs instead of the elevator.
When it comes to actual gym time, though, the Lifeband takes on even more super powers. When synced up with special LG headphones, it can tell you your heart rate. When connected to one of many fitness apps, it can break your fitness down to a science. When used with awesome dubstep music, it can…change people’s outfits? Maybe not, but the music controls, call/text notifications, and other features help you make the most of your exercise, in and out of the gym.
