World Health Day: April 7, 2014

Having good health – both mental and physical – is essential to running a successful business. As all of us take care of our minds and bodies we’ll not only be more prepared to operate our businesses but we’ll enjoy it a whole lot more along the way!

Each year the World Health Organization promotes a particular aspect of health and this year they’ve chosen to focus on “small bite, big threat”. Their concern is related to the threat of mosquitoes, flies, ticks and bugs; and although these insects may be small in size, they may actually be a larger threat to our homes and families than we may think.

Watch this video to see how you and your family can protect yourselves!

Here’s a recap:

1. Wear long sleeves and bug repellent.

2. Sleep under a bed net.

3. Cover water storage containers and get rid of standing water.

Along with these helpful tips we must be sure to protect ourselves on a case by case basis. Even if you don’t think you’re at risk, you may be; and if you’re not at risk, your clients and partners may be. Be sure to think of them as well and help educate those you work with about taking care of themselves and preventing the possibility of illness.

As a business owner and product or service provider sharing educational tips with your clients and partners is both responsible and helpful. They’ll appreciate that you care about them . . and don’t forget – good health = good business.

Don’t know where to start? Give us a call if you need tips about how to promote your business and write and share helpful messages. It’s our speciality.
