There are a lot of companies that are struggling with the way the current economy is, but is Google one of those companies struggling? Google is just over 10 years old and has grown exponetionally in that short time.
When companies grow really fast then there has to be perfect implementation and execution. Even though Google has built and grown into the biggest search engine on the planet they still have some problems that they have to take care of.
One of the organizations within Google that has not been perfect is the Sales and Marketing organization department. Due to this Google has officially announced that they are sorry to announce that they will have to let go of almost 200 Googlers within the Sales and Marketing organizations globally.
Google has stated that they will give those involved some time to find other roles within Google along with support and severance packages to those individuals affected that leave the company.
This goes to show that not every company is immune to having to layoff people even in this rough economy that we are facing. These changes will help Google restructure the Sales and Marketing organization to where there is a better decision making and an improved process in which the organization works.
