Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it? There is so much to do and enjoy, people to visit and love to share. One of my favorite holiday activities is going to the movies and this year has a solid line up of movies which means everyone can find a movie they’ll enjoy this holiday season. I’ve listed a few below that I think might get the ideas rolling for which movies you’d like to see but for a complete list go to Fandango or another movie listing site of your choice.

Saving Mr. Banks Haven’t seen this yet but it’s the story of how Walt Disney convinced the author of Mary Poppins to help him and his team turn the story into a movie, but getting her permission and blessing proved to be a greater challenge than Walt thought possible.

Frozen Okay, haven’t seen this one either but it looks like a cute show and definitely a crowd pleaser for families and kids. Feeling chilly this winter? Well so are the characters of this movie. A spell is cast on their city that creates an eternal winter so two of the main characters are on a mission to reverse the spell and bring back summer. Now that’s a mission I can stand behind wholeheartedly! BRING BACK SUMMER.

Anchorman 2 It’s probably just the same as the first one. Middle aged actors running around acting like idiots (funny idiots, of course). Have you seen it yet? Thoughts?

The Hobbit, The Desolation of Smaug Need I say more? It’s The Hobbit. Okay, truth be told, I haven’t seen this one or any of them for that matter. Ha. But that’s okay because I’ve got a lot of movie watching to do this season and I couldn’t be happier.

No matter which movies you decide to see in theaters this holiday season I hope you enjoy them with your family and friends. Sometimes it’s even more enjoyable to talk about them after than to see them! Happy Holidays to you from one movie buff to another!
