When sending out e-mails use mail merge personalization. This is where you set up your email databasing system to automatically insert information about your contacts like their first name, last name, address, phone #, or what they bought from your company.
Most importantly if you can do it in the subject line. This will increase your open rates as people will see their name in the subject line before they even open the e-mail. Using mail merge personalization provides the personal touch and will make it so your customers people are more apt to continue to do business with your company.
