The technology mogul and co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, has passed away at the age of 56. Over the past 8 years Steve has been battling pancreatic cancer and on 10/05/2011 he finally lost the battle with the disease.
He stepped down on August 24 as CEO of Apple and was Chairman of the Board until yesterday. As a 21 year old college dropout Steve Jobs became on of the most influential people in all of the world for his insight into technology and how it can help everyone around the world. With his vision he created the Mac computer, IPod, IPhone, IPad and many more electronic gadgets that transformed the technology industry.
Steve Jobs will be a greatly missed individual and some are speculating that Apple’s stock will even go down with his passing as he was the brainchild behind the company.
Thanks Steve for what you have given the technology industry and the world.
