Every single company is trying to sale some type of product or service. The question is why do people buy things and why should they buy your things that you offer. People buy things to solve a problem or need in their life.
Everybody has emotions that trigger their senses. In the food industry it is the sense of smell. This industry must target the need to satisfy hunger. Sight is a big emotion in making food look good to satisfy the persons emotion.
Customers always think about what solution they are going to have when they purchase anything. Then they rationalize, is the cost associated with it worth it?

If you can effectively paint a picture of how their life would improve with buying your product or service then they will be more apt to buy. The better you can make it to where the customer is talking themselves into buying the product or service the higher your conversions will be.
The main thing to keep in mind is that people do not like to be sold, they like to have their problems solved. On your website you will have to write your sales copy that enhances these emotional triggers so that people are picturing their life being easier having your product.
Remember people buy because of emotion.
